The Ecological Database for the Black Country and Birmingham
EcoRecord holds information on over 7,000 sites, including their status (e.g. Site of Special Scientific Interest, Local Nature Reserve, Site of Importance for Nature Conservation) their habitats, geological interest and their known species (the database now contains almost half a million species records).
The database is combined with a powerful Geographical Information System (GIS) to provide the most up-to-date, authoritative and impartial information available on the ecology of the Black Country and Birmingham.
Information can be provided in the form of maps, tables, lists and reports interpreting this data.
