Natural Curriculum Project
The Natural Curriculum Project delivers aspects of the National Curriculum by improving school grounds for nature conservation and environmental education in Wolverhampton schools. One of the main aims of the Project is to enable schools to recognise the potential of their sites, for both formal and informal education.

The Project has helped schools create:
- ponds
- sensory gardens
- willow structures
- outdoor classrooms
- sculptures
- paths and seating
The project also helps and supports schools in Wolverhampton with delivering environmental education and helping children experience and learn about the natural world.
Celebrating our Outdoors is a publication produced by the project that gives an overview of the range of environmental education opportunities offered by various organisations, including the Wildlife Trust, to schools in Wolverhampton.
Where possible, the Project seeks to encourage and support schools to participate in environmental initiatives run by other organisations. We work with other agencies, businesses and individuals, both local and national, to bring exciting environmental activities into schools.
The project is supported by Wolverhampton City Council.
Green and Kickin'
Green and Kickin' is an annual event held with several schools each year. We bring a range of exciting interactive activities, themed on wildlife and the environment, into the participating schools so that every pupil in the school can take part.
